Why Color Separation Matters
Color separation is one of the most critical — and most overlooked — steps in the screen printing process. Every decision made during separation directly affects what comes out of the press: the accuracy of the colors, the sharpness of the halftones, the smoothness of gradients, and whether the final print matches the original design or disappoints a client.
A well-done separation saves time, ink, and screens. A poorly executed one wastes all three — and can cost you a client. That's why we exist.
What makes a separation truly professional goes beyond just splitting colors in Photoshop. It requires understanding how inks behave on different fabrics, how dot gain affects halftone reproduction, how underbase coverage interacts with overprinted colors, and how print order changes the final look. These are things that only come from years of actual press experience — not from running a file through automated software.
At Color-Separation.com, every separation is built by hand. We analyze your artwork, choose the right method (spot color, CMYK, simulated process, or index), calibrate the halftones and screen angles for your specific press setup, and deliver an organized PSD file that your press operator can go straight to print with.

Terms of Service
Welcome to Color-Separation.com. By using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting any files or placing any orders.
1. Nature of Our Service
Color-Separation.com provides digital services only, focused exclusively on design and color separation for screen printing and related industries. We do not sell physical products, printed shirts, or any tangible items. All work is delivered in digital format via email or download link.
2. File Ownership and Responsibility
All files, images, and artwork sent to Color-Separation.com remain the full property of the client. It is the client's responsibility to ensure they have the legal rights and authorization to use, share, or modify the submitted materials.
Color-Separation.com does not claim ownership of any client files. We store files temporarily for production purposes and do not retain them for more than 60 days after delivery unless otherwise requested.
3. Confidentiality
All files and information provided by clients are treated as strictly confidential. They will never be shared, sold, published, or modified for any purpose other than completing the requested service. No copies will be made or distributed beyond what is necessary for production.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
By submitting files or placing an order, you agree not to request work that includes or promotes:
- Terrorism, hate speech, or incitement to violence
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content
- Copyright infringement or unauthorized use of intellectual property
- Illegal, defamatory, or unethical activities of any kind
Color-Separation.com reserves the right to refuse or cancel any project that violates these conditions or our ethical and legal standards, with a full refund issued if payment has been made.
5. Limitation of Liability
While we take great care in delivering professional-quality work, Color-Separation.com shall not be held responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of our digital files or services. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.
6. Acceptance of Terms
By sending files to Color-Separation.com or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, as well as our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
7. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

At Color-Separation.com, we value and respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle, store, and protect the files and information you provide when using our services.
File Ownership and Confidentiality
All files, artwork, and materials you send us for color separation or design purposes remain entirely your property. We acknowledge that you are the rightful owner and creator of these files.
Your files will never be shared, distributed, or transferred to third parties outside our team under any circumstances. Every file and project is treated with the highest level of confidentiality and professional ethics.
Data Handling and Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
All files are used exclusively for the purpose of providing the requested service and are stored securely during the project's duration. Once the work is completed, files may be deleted periodically unless otherwise requested by the client. We retain files for a maximum of 60 days after delivery.
Use of Information
The information and files you share with us are used solely to:
- Deliver and improve our color separation and design services
- Communicate with you regarding your projects, updates, or revisions
- Ensure the best possible quality and consistency in our work
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information or files with any third parties.
Refusal of Work
We reserve the right to decline any project or file that violates our service policies, including but not limited to content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or infringes upon intellectual property rights.
Simple version: Your files stay yours. We never share them. We use them only to do the work you asked for. After 60 days they are deleted. That's it.
Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. We encourage you to review it regularly.
Payment Methods
We offer several convenient payment options to make the process as easy as possible. Payment is required before files are delivered.
PayPal
Fast and secure worldwide payments. Works with your PayPal balance, bank account, or credit card. PayPal offers buyer protection on eligible transactions. We'll send you the payment link when your order is confirmed.
Bank Transfer (ACH / Wire)
Bank transfers accepted for USA and international clients. Contact us at Email to request banking details. Please include your order reference in the transfer notes.
Zelle
Available for clients with US bank accounts. Instant and free from most US banks. We'll share the Zelle details when your order is confirmed.

Refund Policy
At Color-Separation.com, we are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with our services. We stand behind the quality of every separation we deliver.
Our guarantee: If you are not satisfied with the result of your separation or artwork service, you have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a full refund or a free revision. No questions asked.
Eligibility for Refunds or Revisions
If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the results of your color separation or design service, you have 30 days from the date of file delivery to request either:
- A full refund of the amount paid for the service, or
- A revision or modification of the delivered work at no additional cost
After this 30-day period, refund requests will no longer be accepted. Revision requests after 30 days may be accommodated at our discretion depending on the circumstances.
How to Request a Refund or Revision
To request a refund or revision, contact us directly by email at Email or via live chat. Include your order reference and a description of the issue.
Once your request is received, our team will review your case and respond within 24 hours with a resolution. We aim to resolve all issues quickly and fairly.
Exceptions — When Refunds Do Not Apply
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Services that have been fully approved and confirmed by the client in writing
- Projects where significant changes were requested and completed after delivery and approval
- Files that were altered, used, or shared after delivery
- Requests submitted after the 30-day window has passed
Our Commitment to Quality
We value every client relationship. In practice, refund requests are rare because we communicate throughout the process and make revisions before closing any job. If any issue arises — even outside the standard policy — reach out and we will do our best to make it right.
